2 Tips When People Suggest a Business Idea For You

2 mins read

Having a job alone that gives you monthly income isn't enough for others, people nowadays are turning to businesses to generate more income and have extra cash flows. But here's the catch, they tend to jump in into a business without proper knowledge and research that instead of creating a profit, they generate a loss.

I have seen a lot of people who are asking for business ideas with low capital requirements and there will be tons of suggested businesses that one could do.

With lots of opportunities around us, how would we know what's best for us?

People might say that their business is thriving and it has helped them but what would help you?

Not all of the business around us is going to be profitable when we do it. Why?

Because each and every one of us is different, others might be profitable in what they are doing because that's what they like to do.

I have experienced this, I jumped into selling products that I am not good at selling at and where did it get me? Nowhere. Because that is not what I like to do. I was invited to join their group and sell their products but I wasn't able to be successful, unlike their other members who were excellent in their job at selling.

They were successful because they like what they do.

You can't force someone to do something they do not like and expect a great outcome. It doesn't work that way.

Others might invite you to do a certain business but if your heart is not into it, trust me, it won't be successful.

The other thing is that if you jump into a business without proper knowledge and research you might lose all of your invested capital.

Doing research before starting a business would help you a lot because it would minimize the risk of failure.

Let's say, Mark decided to start a bakery in their area and after a month of business operation, he started to realize that he wasn't generating a profit and his loss was getting bigger and bigger. The reason for this was because Mark started a bakery competing with a well-known bakery in their area. He wasn't able to research his competition who was doing better than him.

That's just a simple example of why doing research is important.

So here's a reminder, before jumping into any business suggestions that people are offering you.

  1. Be sure that the business you are doing and the product you are selling is something you like.

  2. Do your RESEARCH.
